Selection of Raw Material

In Ragasa we have a strong commitment with the quality of the products that we offer to our clients, in the retail market, as in the wholesale and industrial market. That is why it is vital to ensure the excellent quality of the raw material purchased, which will be processed under the highest quality standards to obtain products and by-products worthy of our final consumers.

Our main raw material is soybeans. Most of the grain that Ragasa acquires is grown in the central region of the United States, mostly in the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota. In addition, a small portion of total bean purchased comes from the Texas Valley and the border region of Tamaulipas.

The quality of all imported grain is endorsed by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS), which issues a certificate Official that guarantees the quality of the commodity. All the soybeans that Ragasa acquires fall into the U.S. grade 2 classification, which includes quality parameters that meet the requirements of our processes in order to guarantee high quality final products.
